Cuts 3/8 like butter

My higher priced cutter went south and I didn't want to spend another $1k+ on a replacement. I checked Amazon and read some reviews and ultimately picked the Toolium 50.I have made +/- 200 cuts on 3/8 plate with zero issues. If the machine acts up I'll report back

Nice little machine.

Nice little machine. Could use a better air hose in box. I haven't used it a lot yet, but so far so good. Seller is good to work with.

Impressive

For the price, it's very impressive. I cut some stainless steel, and a piece of 3/8" snow plow blade. Have to go pretty slow on that thickness, but I'll rarely need to.

Recommend running on 220/240 Volts

I used this machine to cut through a 1/4 steel plate that I made to fit on top of my range to use as a gridde. In my opinion this is about as good as it gets for the price point. I recommend upgrading the air hoses to a more heavy duty grade and the regulator threads will need teflon tape to prevent air leaks. I have no doubt this will cut thicker than 1/4 inch steel. Overall I am very pleased with its performance and hope this machine will provide long service life. If you would like more info, I have posted a video on the youtube channel "Southern Home Talk"

Very easy for the first plasma I have owned. Makes projects so much faster!

This was easy to setup. Does not take a very big compressor. I have a 3.0 cfm and it's more than enough. It cuts as steady as your hand is. Cuts nice fine lines once settings are correct for that meal. One thing, it does require a large circuit breaker for 110volt. 35 amp. Lots of house don't have this. The average house has 30 amps or less for breakers. It blows 30amp breakers in about 5 minutes or less. Once I got my extension cord so I can share my dryer outlet, it I hooked it up to 220 volts and wow, talk about powerful. Had to dial it way back because on 220 volts, it's very powerful.BUY BUY BUY, Good machine.

Got a bad unit initially but tech support was quick to make it right

Received as a Christmas gift (which i requested), had always wanted a plasma cutter but as mentioned elsewhere even HF's is nearly $700, so figured would take a chance. And seeing it was dual voltage and non contact, were massive selling points for this particular model.Packaging is great, visual quality is good for everything except maybe the hose fittings and hose itself, both could be higher quality, but are easy (and cheap) enough to replace, it did leak even with the clamps tightened to the max, replaced with my own fittings, and fixed that. Then attempted a couple test runs of various metal thicknesses. A good ground is a MUST for 110v especially. 240v worked like a knife through butter, 110v was sporadic, air flow was more critical on 110v than 240v.That being said on my second use of the Plasma Cutter, a couple weeks later. I heard a POP, my 40 AMP circuit breaker to the circuit blew as well. Reset the breaker, but the Plasma Cutter never worked again. I contacted support, as it was past my return window at Amazon by this point. Surprisingly they were very fast to warranty the unit. I did have to send in the broken one, and package it up myself, and pay the shipping, but they promptly shipped me out a brand new one, within a week.Additionally a day before the new Plasma Cutter arrived they actually sent me a welding helmet as well. I guess as a goodwill gesture. Which was appreciated. (Helmet was pretty good quality as well, better than the HF one i already had)Since unboxing and setting up the new one, I have used it a few times, on 110v and it hasn't had any device issues. Again a good ground is critical to get a good arc especially at lower power levels. Also 110v does have a tendency to over power the circuit breakers for the house, as they all are only 20 AMP (as most 110v home circuits are) So if its thin metal or if you are only using 110v at about 1/2 -2/3 max power its good. (They do mention this in the documentation as well ) but above 2/3 power, if you have 240v available it's probably best to use that.As far as longevity it will be yet to be determined as I don't do a whole lot of cutting, but this second unit has already exceeded the original. So over all happy with the purchase and performance.
