Mig part stopped working after about 100 feet of wire was ran thru it. arc welder part still works. Customer service is nonexistant. As you can imagine, there is no phone number to speak to anyone and I think I am on the 50th or so email to them that just goes in circle.

Two Years Of Daily Use!

I waited almost two years for this review. I bought this welder as a temporary welder while I waited for my back ordered 'blue' welder to show up. Well I have used this welder for two years daily doing heavy plate steel and it has been abused in the service truck, rained on, dropped and fallen off of the truck a few times. It's held up to all of it! I did replace the gun right away with a genuine Tweco gun and 15' lead and replaced the ground cable and clamp with solid copper. I have burned 20+ rolls of .035 and love all the features and the reliability. This has paid for itself 50x over now.

Basic welding is good, but wire feed and controls are annoying

The basic welder is good. It will produce a good weld when set up. But the displays on the front of the welder are so small I have to get my face right up in front of the machine to read them. They are also very hard to read in sunlight. The biggest annoyance is the wire feeder. When set up as shown in the diagram, the nut holding the wire roll on the spindle self tightens as the roll is unwound while welding. Eventually it gets too tight for the wire feeder to pull the wire out. The wire feed becomes intermittent and finally stops altogether and the weld is ruined. The welding torch is good. I did have problems getting the gas connection to work without leaking (I may have over tightened it). I put an O ring in the fitting and that reduced the leak to a minimum.

Great machine, easy to use & set up.

I've only done stick welding when I was in my 20's. This machine has a stick welding option as well as a flux core wire feed option which is the first that I used. In just 10 minutes I was welding comfortably and adjusting the amperage as needed to make better welds. The machine also has the MIG option with co2 shielding gas and a TIG options with co2/ argon shielding gas option. I'm sorry I did not buy one sooner.
